For many years now, Trevor has worked in the area of spiritual and leadership development with University Students in the USA and currently works for Servant Partners working towards community transformation within urban poor communities. He has a passion to develop people to their greatest potential in all areas of life.

He is particularly passionate about using sport to transform individuals and communities from disadvantaged backgrounds. He leads an organization called Ba Dira Mmogo Servant Partners.  Ba Dira Mmogo (those that are working together), in partnership with local community members from Zandspruit and Cosmo City, started a cycling program called Legadima Cycling which, in partnership with the Diepsloot Mountainbike Academy, creates opportunities for kids from these communities to ride bikes in a safe environment, and to be invested in through mentoring, tutoring support and computer literacy programs. Ba Dira Mmogo also started Kaofela Reltlagona Women’s Health Program, which provides a safe place for women to exercise, learn about holistic health and leadership development. In both these places the principles required to be successful and growing in health through sport and exercise are used to encourage transformation to other areas of their lives and their communities.

Trevor is excited by the potential to use sport as a vehicle for change in South Africa, translating the lessons we learn through sport into the rest of life, bringing people together and creating opportunities within the sport industry together. He hopes to be part of growing a movement of sports people who want to do More than Sport.

Given his passion to develop people, Trevor recently completed a Growth Coaching certification increasing him skills to help come along side those that are eager to grow, change and reach their potential. He has a background in Triathlons, racing multiple sprint, Olympic and half-iron distances. His best achievement were qualifying and racing Nationals in the USA in 2007 and then representing Gauteng Province at SA nationals in 2009.

After his second daughter was born he decided to pick one sport and started racing bicycles. He loves any road that goes up and through the years won local road races in the 30+ age group as part of the Complete Cyclist VA team. These include Dome 2 Dome, Berg en Dale, Panorama tour and 94.7 Cycle Challenge in 2014.  On the mountain bike he has been on the podium for multiple 1-day events and came 11th OA at Sani2c in 2013, and in 2015 completed the Absa Cape Epic.

After completing a sabbatical year in 2015, taking a break from racing and moving into the 40+ category, Trevor who coaches where ever he goes, is excited to start formally coaching under Nic & Di White. He is excited to grow his knowledge and expertise and be able to share what he has learnt over the years with those he has the opportunity to partner with to achieve their goals.
